Her burden Episode 2

The party ended at exactly 6:58pm, Dj Coozy was still playing his mad jams as some graduating students were still hanging around the hall.
A security man approached Eva and her friends.
Tola was the first to see him, She didn't like the look on the man's face;
" Girls, I think we've had enough fun and it's time we leave" Tola said in a hurry.
Eva didn't want to leave yet, Leo asked her to wait .

Leo has been her crush since junior High. She just got the opportunity to speak with him, She wasn't going to blow it because of Tola's impatience.

" Tola, You can leave with Bisi, I need to see Leo before Leaving".
Tola was getting really angry as the security man came very close;
" The party is over, what are you three still doing, Bring your bags"
"I am going to search you and if I find anything incriminating, I will march you three to the principal's quarters tonight".
Meanwhile Bisi had a can of beer inside her bag which she intended to drink immediately she gets to Eva's.
Her bag was the last the man searched. Tola was fuming with anger, she knew all the hungry old man wanted was money and she wasn't going to drop a dime.
"Why always Bisi?"
"Today Condom, tomorrow Beer"
Tola thought.
Bisi just stood there staring at the chilled beer in the man's hand, Showing no remorse.
" I'm going to take this can of beer to the principal and you three will........."
Before he could finish, the shivering Eva begin to beg, almost in tears.
She didn't want her testimonial to have a bad comment, Mrs Ebenezer was going to skin her alive.
After 30 minutes of begging, the security man asked them to go after seizing the can of beer and asking Eva to give him money for two more cans.
The three got to the Ebenezers' relieved , they would be spending the night there.
Tola was still angry that Eva gave the man some money
" You shouldn't have given that man so much, a whole one thousand naira", she said as she took off her dress.
Tola just went into the shower leaving the two girls dumbfounded,
She would rather defend herself before the principal.
She came out of the bathroom looking calm and better
" What's that smell?"
Tola asked no one in particular
"Smells like Rotten egg" she continued; She was getting angry, no was responding.
Eva picked up her Towel, tied it round her body but still holding her red dress, about entering the bathroom.
Tola started again;
"Eva, don't tell me that smell is coming from you?"
"Why did we buy the deodorant yesterday if you weren't going to use it?"
"I doubt you can be friends with Leo this way"
Bisi was getting irritated
"Can you let the poor girl rest Tola?"
"We should be helping her not badmouthing her" Bisi reacted.
Tola felt really bad here, she wore her night dress and laid on the bed, Bisi left the room to get a drink while Eva just stood there still holding her red dress, staring at the big wall clock.
The words Tola said kept coming back, Was she going to lose Leo?
This was becoming a burden!
      Do unsavoury breathe and smelling armpits annoy you?
